The Omi necklace
A wearable recorder that catches the class, the correction, and the front desk question while they are still in your own words. That raw material is what your brain file is made of.
Why a recorder before another app
Most instructors do not have a writing problem. They have a capture problem. The best line you said all week happened between the last set and the door, and by the time you sat down to write, it was gone. A recorder you wear removes the step where you have to remember to open something. You talk, it listens, and you paste the transcript into your brain file later.
Tell people when you are recording, keep it off during private conversations, and treat the transcript as your notes rather than anyone else's words.
Ways to wear it
Omi pendant, worn on the cord

Sits where your voice carries. This is the one that catches the walk to the car after a 6am, when the cue you want to write down is still fresh.
Omi clipped to the collar

For teaching. Off the chest, out of the way of the straps, and still close enough to pick you up over the springs and the music.
Omi on the wristband

For the front desk hour. Hands busy, questions coming in, and every one of those questions belongs on your FAQ page later.
Omi at rest between sessions

For planning. Talk through next month's programming out loud and let the transcript be the first draft of segment seven.
